SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT JOB in EXETER, DEVON

Hays Education are recruiting for SEN Teaching Assistants for jobs in Exeter. If you are looking for an interesting SEN support job in the Devon area then look no further. If you have experience of working with students with BESD, ADD, ADHD, Autism, challenging behaviour, MLD or PMLD such as Downs' Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and Complex Sensory Needs then Hays Education Special Education is interested in hearing from you!

You should have an awareness and understanding of Behaviour Management Strategies and be able to support students with behaviour, emotional and social difficulties in dedicated SEN and behaviour settings.

Applicants are required to be committed to the education of special needs pupils with complex needs, be flexible and willing to continue to develop skills and are resilient and open-minded to be able to understand the challenges faced by these pupils. Skills such as Makaton, PECs, Team Teach, Manual Restraint and Sign Langauge would be an advantage.

Hays Education work in close partnership with many Special Education Needs Schools across Devon and assignments can vary from day-to-day supply, long-term cover and permanent posts.
