Job Description

The Business Systems Analyst key role involves the ability to analyze and translate business requirements to meet specific project needs. The BSA examines the existing business model, (processes and objectives) working with various levels of end users in the company to create the logical specifications for software/hardware systems that will provide a solution for the needs of moderate to complex clinical/business problems. The Business Systems Analyst performs the research necessary to create functional documents which will ensure that clinical/business application systems can be effectively developed and implemented to meet organizational needs.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor?s Degree in Business or Information Systems required or equivalent related work experience.
2. Minimum seven (7) years experience as a Registered Nurse.
3. Minimum of two (2) years experience in process re-engineering.
4. Home health or Hospice experience preferred.
5. Strong knowledge and experience of business unit operations or Amedisys systems usage within a specific business unit preferred.
6. Six Sigma Green Belt or CBAP certification preferred.
7. Knowledge and experience with the DMAIC framework preferred.
8. In-depth experience with process re-design methods and tools.
9. Experience with data analysis.
10. Advanced skills with Microsoft Visio, Simulation (Prototype applications), Microsoft Outlook, Document Management Systems ( Sharepoint, TFS 2010)
11. Ability to independently lead process improvement projects.
12. Strong communication and analytical skills.
13. Ability to easily adapt to rapidly changing environment.
14. Experience in health care business solutions preferred.
15. Ability to work well independently and on a team.
16. Excellent oral and communication skills and be able to develop a positive working relationship with assigned stakeholder.
17. Ability to present information effectively.
18. Demonstrates knowledge of Federal/State rules and regulations, accreditation standards, and other regulatory requirements governing home care.
19. Stays abreast of regulatory changes impacting industry.
20. Knowledge of care delivery documentation systems and related medical record documents.
