BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- The 2012 Amgen Tour of California professional cycling race will feature 16 world-class cycling teams competing for eight days across nearly 750 miles of California?s most scenic highways, roadways and coastlines May 13-20. Amgen Tour of California Women?s Time Trial RaceThe second annual Amgen Tour of California Women's Time Trial Race, presented by SRAM, will take place in Bakersfield during Stage 5 of the 2012 Amgen Tour of California on Thursday, May 17. The Amgen Tour of California Women's Time Trial Race will use the same course as Stage 5 of the men?s individual time trial in Bakersfield. This is an invitation-only competition featuring the leading female athletes in the world of cycling, all vying for a piece of the $10,000 prize pool.

Wednesday, May 16: Stage 4 ? Sonora to Clovis
Start time/Location: 10:35 a.m. ? Yaney and Washington St (Sonora)
Finish Location: Bullard Ave. and Pollasky Ave. (Clovis)
Thursday, May 17: Women?s Time Trial Race
Start time/location: 11:10 a.m. Mt. Vernon Ave. on to Alfred Harrell Hwy.
Finish time/location 12:15 p.m. Panorama Drive at College
Thursday, May 17: Stage 5 ? Bakersfield Individual Time Trial
Start time/location: 1:00 p.m. Mt. Vernon Ave. on to Alfred Harrell Hwy.
Finish time/location: 3:55 p.m. Panorama Drive at College
