Black Circus, a tale of horrifying revenge.

The last drop of oil of the Earth finally dissipated, forcing humanity to rely on the power of coal and electricity as wars broke out for the increasingly precious power giving resources such as water currents and forest. Crime also was at an all time high as the populace tried to survive the increasingly unlivable planet they were born to. As the skies darkened so did the people's art and soon prisons were deemed worthless due to the sheer amount of criminals. As years did go on, all living things started getting sick and dying as a great plague crawled out of the diseased earth and spread though poisoned waters and smog-filled air. Time was running out for the Earth inhabitant.

Thus the leaders of the world found a solution in the form of what is now the Black Circuses. Those circuses were in fact wandering laboratories that used the most hardened of criminals as test subjects, turning their bodies and mind into twisted parodies of themselves in hope of finding a way for humankind to survive in this hostile world. The results were twisted works of arts, capable of amazing feat but unable to think for themselves.

That was until their offspring were born.

Those second generation creatures were able to remember their ancestors' memories, stripping away their sanity but giving them incredible insight. Those creatures of pollution and mutations were at home in the new world and could not survive in a sanitized environment.

The remaining humans, safe for now with gas-masks, bodysuits and artificial food, used this for their advantage, forcing their creature to act grotesque spectacles for their amusement when they were not used for further testing and breeding in hope of saving the human race.

The Freaks, as the creatures were called, were no longer human as they neither looked nor acted like one, prompting the spectators and scientists to treat them lower than animals.

But the third generation was born then.

Full of the negative feeling of their ancestors, the third generation Freaks were growing with revenge in their minds. Their mind as clear and dark as a cloudless night sky.
