The effect of cell phones on communication:
Professor of social media at Syracuse University, Dr. William Ward, believes that the use of cell phones will benefit the waves of communication. ?If people are using them to collaborate, become more efficient, generate new ideas and innovation then that?s really great. So, thinking about how to use it as a productivity and professional tool, that can actually help improve the economy and opportunities for people,? he said.
Dr. Ward said having a cell phone with so many capabilities is like having a computer in your pocket. ?We?re talking about people who have access to information and techonology that allows them to collect, communicate and collaborate,? He said.
Antenucci feels differently. ?Technology is amazing but?I don?t think people can realize that it can have such an effect on personal communication,? she said. She also thinks that people are so hooked to their phones they don?t know how to talk to a person when they are right in front of them.
